The rods I produce tend to have an understated look. The silk wraps, stripping guides and reel seat fillers should work together to create an appealing aesthetic that compliments the colour of the bamboo. The ferrules and reel seat hardware are nickel silver and various timbers are used for the reel seat filler. On bamboo rods, the silk wraps are varnished without any colour preserver which results in a clear finish.
