Fibreglass
Over the last few years I have been experimenting with fibreglass and building on some interesting blanks from Japan and the United States. These include a great range of blanks provided by Tomo Ijuin and Yasuyuki Kabuto. Whilst they will never replace bamboo as my preferred rod material, they are enjoyable to fish and make suitable, medium actioned small stream rods. The blanks come in a range of finishes such as translucent yellow, green or white and are visually very appealing. The addition of silk wraps, grip and reel seat results in a nice build.
